Director of Marketing
Ferreira Construction
Megan began her career in the construction industry shortly after completing her college education and has now been in construction for nearly fifteen years. She developed a fascination for construction at a young age observing and working alongside her father who was also in the construction industry.
Megan's first industry opportunity was with The Conti Group working in their New York City office as an administrative assistant to the Vice President of Operations, and she lent support to all field operations. During her tenure at Conti, Megan was fortunate to have had two seasoned professionals as mentors who allowed her to broaden her knowledge, specifically estimating, project management, and business development which led to her becoming the Conti Business Development Manager for the New York City construction market as well as the New Jersey solar market.
The invaluable experience Megan had garnered allowed her to expand her career in the industry and she became the MWDBE liaison at Schiavone Construction. At Schiavone, she was responsible for the oversite of the MWDBE department to ensure all projects were compliant with federal, state and local laws pertaining to minority participation.
Today Megan is Director of Marketing for Ferreira Construction and its affiliated companies. In her position, she understands the importance of branding and continually explores advertising opportunities, strategies as well as key marketing opportunities to allow Ferreira and its affiliates continually build its customer base. She also provides guidance on matters of MWDBE compliance.
She is a member of Professional Women in Construction, serves as a board member for the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development Council and a member of the General Contractors Association of New York MWDBE Committee and the Law and Legislative Committee.
Megan enjoys volunteering and spearheads the Ferreira Elf charity program that works with local homeless organizations and food banks to provide food, clothing, and gifts to those in need. She also is a volunteer at Daytop, a non-profit organization committed to providing housing, education, and counseling to young adults battling addiction and serves as Vice Chair of their Dinner Gala.
